Ellis is a Chartered Psychologist who specialises in Performance Psychology. She holds a PhD in Performance Psychology and MSc’s in Applied Psychology and Performance Science. Prior to becoming a psychologist, she was a professional performer and has since worked extensively across performance domains, including sports, business, dance, theatre, music, and comedy. Her work focuses on peaking and recovery cycles, benefits of acute stress, psychological skills training and talent development. Ellis also teaches and supervises psychology at university level and consults across sectors. Her supervisory work has focused on coping profiles, transformational leadership and self-efficacy, decision-making under pressure, recovery strategies in organisations, talent selection and the transferability of performance psychology across domains.
